Seas Teeming with Life

In Genesis 1:21 it says 'And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly'.

Being a keeper of tropical fish, I am in a privileged position to see the Creator's handiwork in a part of the creation I'd never otherwise experience. Here are some of my favourites.

This is a plecostomus, a type of cat fish, eating a piece of cucumber. He also eats algae from the tank's sides and generally consumes the mess. The remarkable thing about this fellow though is his ability to change colour. Depending on his mood and background, he goes lighter or darker.

These Rummy-nose Testras are truly beautiful, having deep red faces and black & white striped tails. They originate in South America.

This striped fish is a Yoyo Loach. Originating from the Indian subcontinent, they eat snails. The pattern on their bodies seems to spell yoyo, hence the name.

Psalm 65:8: The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders.
