Weather Warriors

Kat Kerr is up to her old tricks again. This woman is famous for her dyed pink hair and for having two angels give her frequent tours of heaven, including its various roller coaster rides. She boasts on her website:

Kat Kerr will challenge what you have believed about Heaven, the “other” dimension (spirit realm), this life, death and even eternity.  Since 1996 she has been ‘caught up’ by the Spirit of God and taken on amazing journeys into the Third Heaven as well as to Hell.  She lives and moves in the supernatural which gives her a detailed understanding of how God, His angels and even darkness operate today.

Anything you believe about heaven which is not taught in the Bible is almost certainly wrong.

This week, she’s posted videos of herself denouncing Storm Michael, in order to alter its course, armed with prophetic staff. Loyal followers are asked to touch the storm on their iPad and phones, and prophetically move it to the left. These weather warriors are then to repeat:

“We choose to take authority over all the power of the enemy which is trying to control the storm Michael and we command the millibars and high pressure to rise in that storm, we’re gonna say rise, rise, rise. We want that thing to be downgraded and then we’re gonna command the host to go in and shred the bands. I’m asking somebody out there…so that it can be torn apart…we command a high to come in…its gonna sit on that storm and shred it…the demise of that storm will happen. We have the right and the authority and we rule in this world, so we also make a ruling that it cannot do destruction.”

I have no doubt that God does answer prayer and may avert a storm as a result. We, however, have no authority over natural forces; we are merely servants of One who has. Much as my heart goes out to those affected by the storm’s destruction, staff-waving charlatans only add to the loss and damage that it causes.

The American Church was once a blessing to the world, leading the way and sustaining the rest.

‘Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants…’

God gives us strength and grace to endure the storms of life. If you’ve been taught you can simply command all your problems to disappear, and it doesn’t happen, the storm comes and your faith is blown away.
