Chapel Clear Out

This weekend, ten of us gathered to have a church clear out. As well as throwing out broken vases, ladders and enough planks and timber to build a new church, we found some treasures. A Victorian framed Bible verse, the chapel chimney pot (soon to become a large flower pot in the manse garden) as well as a nineteenth century wooden wheel barrow. My personal highlight was a spare coffin lid which I 'bagsied'.

As well as making the chapel safer (our underground store contained a potentially fatal mixture of petrol, electrical wires and a huge quantity of wood) we now have more space for the things that matter.

We had a real sense of fellowship- thank you to everyone who helped.
