Gaping Gill: in His Hand are the Deep Places

Friends and I yesterday ascended Ingleborough, one of the Yorkshire mountains. A pleasant walk it was, with fine views and a chilling wind. On our way through, we passed a large hole in the ground, called Gaping Gill. It has a small river called Fell Beck disappearing into it, coming out several miles away at Ingleborough Cave. It is the largest cavern in Britain with direct access to the surface and is so large it might contain a cathedral.

Truly this earth is amazing, full of wonders, like its Creator:

In His hand are the deep places of the earth; The heights of the hills are His also.  Psalm 95: 4
