Genderless God in the Church of Sweden

The Protestant church of Sweden, the ‘Evangelical Lutheran Church’, has issued new guidance to its pastors to avoid gender-specific terminology in relation to God. So from Pentecost, Swedish clergy are urged by Antje Jackelen, the female Archbishop who heads the church, to refuse to say such phrases as God the Father or God the Son. 

We should not be changing our theology to reflect current worldly wisdom. The gospel calls on the world to repent and change, conforming to Christ. This archbishopess is a false teacher, a wolf in sheep’s clothing, a serpent in the garden.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.
