Ingleton Quarry

He who quarries stones is hurt by them, and he who splits logs is endangered by them.
Ecclesiastes 10:9

I once attended Ingleton Quarry in order to watch a wall of rock blown to smithereens having been laden with explosives. The management were perhaps mindful of Solomon's observations and required us to wear hard hats and ear protection. The bang was very loud and must have been heard for miles around. When the dust settled, there was a huge quantity of valuable gritstone to be gathered and sold. These four pictures show the explosion seconds apart, the first one taken during detonation.

The Creator packed our earth full of treasures to be discovered and used. Surely, we live in a bountiful place.
