The Long Arm of the Law

The Christian Institute quote former head of MI5 Sir Jonathan Evans warning about government plans to tackle religious extremists. He wrote, in the Daily Telegraph,

“The forthcoming Counter-Extremism Bill aims to crack down on extremism but definitions will be crucial, and implementation of the new powers will be fraught with risk.

“One can imagine already the powers being used against harmless evangelical street preachers or the like, out of misplaced zeal and a desire to demonstrate that they are not directed against one religion alone.”

I do NOT consider myself to be a religious extremist. I don't shoot people, or encourage others to do so. In fact, I hate such repellant acts like that recently carried out in Tunisia. But I do believe that Christ is the only way to salvation. What if the government one day considers this an extreme position?
