Pillaged Post and Unsent Emails

I have previously suffered from the dishonesty of postmen. I once bought an item, signed to say I had received it, only to find out that an employee of the Royal Mail had cut a slit in the envelope, removed the item, and closed it up again. I had signed, so I stood the loss. In Court, if someone swears before a Bench that several official communications were lost in the post, defendants are generally believed, as lost letters seem to be an everyday occurrence.

This evening, I have attempted to send some important emails, including apologies for errors I have made, only to find that they have not been sent. Instead, they languish in my ‘drafts’ folder, with Outlook telling me 'Something went wrong and we haven’t been able to send your mail yet’. Whether it’s thieving postman or incompetent mail servers, our communications are often lost, misunderstood, misconstrued, or ignored.

Thankfully, we have One in heaven who always receives our messages, always understands the most garbled of cries and makes allowances for our foolish requests. I trust neither Outlook nor the Royal Mail, but the God of heaven asks that I trust Him with all my heart.
