Run Rabbit Run

A strange thing happened tonight as I drove to the Bible Study. Howgill Lane is a fairly straight road heading downhill. A rabbit was sitting on the road, and proceeded to run away as I approached. Instead of running into a hedge, however, it chose to run down the lane. I followed it for perhaps a third of a mile. It stopped after a 200 yards, perhaps to catch its breath and I waited accordingly. Eventually it set off again, after a while turning into a field.

It would have been better for the rabbit had he stuck to the fields and avoided the path of danger. Now there's a thought.
