The Millennium: Revelation 20:1-10
A-Millennial (or nunc-millenial) There is no literal 1000 years; we’re in it now.
(Most reformed Christians (Lutherans, Calvinists), Roman Catholics)
Pre-Millennial Christ returns immediately prior to the 1000 years; it’s not here yet.
Post-Millenial Christ returns immediately after the 1000 years; it’s not here yet.
(Some charismatics and presbyterians)
6 And the a wolf will dwell with the lamb,
And the leopard will lie down with the young goat,
And the calf and the young lion 1and the fatling together;
And a little boy will lead them.
7 Also the cow and the bear will graze,
Their young will lie down together,
And the lion will eat straw like the ox.
8 The nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra,
And the weaned child will put his hand on the viper’s den.
9 They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain,
For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord
As the waters cover the sea.
Isaiah 65:20: “No longer will there be 1in it an infant who lives but a few days,
Or an old man who does not 2live out his days;
For the youth will die at the age of one hundred
And the 3bone who does not reach the age of one hundred
Will be thought accursed.
6 On that day there will be neither sunlight nor cold, frosty darkness. 7 It will be a unique day – a day known only to the Lord – with no distinction between day and night. When evening comes, there will be light.8 On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it east to the Dead Sea and half of it west to the Mediterranean Sea, in summer and in winter.9 The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name.12 This is the plague with which the Lord will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths...
