Trump and the Unborn

Regular readers will know that I’m no fan of Donald Trump. And so what? He’s hoping to become a foreign head of state and I have no say or vote anyway. His last debate however slightly softened my views on him. He claimed to be pro-life regarding abortion. Cynics may say he’s just chasing some votes, but that’s democracy for you. It was refreshing hearing a politician speak up for the unborn. We in Britain destroy 500 unborn babies every day, and few politicians on this side of the Atlantic are prepared to speak up on their behalf.

Psalm 10:14 says But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief,

To repay it by Your hand.

The helpless commits himself to You;

You are the helper of the fatherless.

The aborted child is fatherless in the sense that the father has no legal right to offer protection; he or she is helpless because even their own mother wishes them dead. I’m still no fan of Trump. But If I were still in the womb, I know who I’d be voting for.
