2016-17 Annual Church Tithe

Although we are far from being a wealthy church, we continue the practice of giving a tenth of our annual income to support various charities. Our 2016-17 tithe has been split six ways with each charity receiving £280:

  • Papyrus, which aims to prevent suicide among young people. https://www.papyrus-uk.org/
  • The North West Air Ambulance, saving lives of people by offering medical attention in remote locations.  https://nwaa.net/
  • Balkan Vision, led by Dr Alec Passmore, which seeks to share Christ with people in the Balkans.
  • Christians Against Poverty, which supports people struggling with debt, offering help and financial advice. https://capuk.org/
  • Barnabas International, which seeks to support persecuted Christians http://www.barnabas.org/
  • Yorkshire Camps, which offers young people Christian holidays based near Grassington. http://www.yorkshirecamps.org.uk/

In addition, we gave £500 to the Faith Mission, which shares the gospel in rural locations. http://www.faithmission.org/

“And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.” Matthew 10:42
