Trip to Ripley Castle and Gardens

David and Sue Tattersall organised a fabulous trip to Ripley Castle with its intriguing history and beautiful grounds. This week's Bible study is partly about Oliver Cromwell so it was pleasant standing in one of the rooms of the castle in which he slept on his return from the battle of Marston Moor. Although hundreds of houses in the country claim to have hosted our Oliver, I think this one really did.

Although we had showers of rain, the twenty of us who went had a great time. The castle's website is here: http://www.ripleycastle.co.uk/ .
