In the foot steps of the saints

In our recent chapel clear out, we noticed initials and dates that had been painted on the beams under the building, from 1921, 1927 and 1933. I cannot but imagine that they too had decided to have a clear out, and wished to mark the occasion. Perhaps we should sign and date our own initials?
