Our organ was installed in the 1867 by John Laycock. Although electrified within the last thirty years, it still has a long wooden hand pump which occasionally proves useful. Although we tend now to use the piano, the organ is still heard each month or so.

Although now considered a little old fashioned, the organ is a reminder that although we come to chapel to hear God speak to us through His word, we also offer to Him our praise in song. How amazing- that the King of heaven should be interested to hear our lisping voices' attempts at extolling him.

The Bible says 'Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing' (Psalm 100).
