Martin Bottom: Get a Better Car!

I drove past a church the other day and I was shocked. Outside were such old and small cars, they were obviously very, very poor. Who knows, perhaps some of those poor blighters even caught the bus, or, worst of all, walked. If only they had more faith! If only they learned to give more money to established Christian ministries like mine, then they would be so much more blessed. The other tragedy is that old or small cars are such a terrible witness to their community. Nobody wants to go worship with a bunch of low paid losers; the residents of that area will only be impressed by high-fliers, top executives and the financially prosperous. So come on, people! Invest in evangelism by buying bigger and better. If you have a Merc, buy a Porsche. If a Porsche, a Bentley. If a Bentley, a Roller. Do not let your spiritual poverty put people off the glorious gospel of glorious wealth.
