Mount Hermon Chapel, Addingham

I preached yesterday at Mount Hermon in Addingham, near Ilkley. A chapel not unlike Salem, it is led by a sound pastor (Neil Bedford) and has retained its choir and beautiful interior.

It belongs to the Wesleyan Reform Union, a type of Methodism that failed to unite with the others back in the 1930s. They seem especially strong in Yorkshire, particularly around Sheffield, but didn't seem to take off in Lancashire.
