Plane Tree

This fat-looking tree grows in the grounds of Canterbury Cathedral. The Plane is known for the wideness of its truncal girth as well as its resistance to external pollution. For a plant that very clearly absorbs aspects of its surroundings, it wisely discerns that which is helpful, such as water and nutrients, and that which is harmful, such as smog and disease.

Each one of us is developing and growing in one way or another. Are we filling ourselves with light and truth, or the stinking excretions of a corrupted world?

Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance. Isaiah 55:2
