Protecting Little Ones Too Little

One of the minor pleasures of staying in a hotel room is the presence of a TV. I have become like one of those old men in the 1950s and 60s who refused to entertain a television set in the house, but secretly enjoy watching it at someone else’s.

After the morning shower, I turned on TV-am (or is it called GMTV these days? I lose track) to watch some news. His Majesty’s present government is to ban sex education for anyone below the age of 9 and to limit the teaching of gender ideology. This would have been great news if it had been announced five years ago. The words ‘too little too late’ immediately sprang to mind, as well as the likelihood of this government being replaced in the next few months by persons more supportive of the 'equality' lobby, who would likely repeal and rescind any last minute directives. If this is election-year posturing, it will not work; if it is a real concern to protect young minds from evil influence, why has it come so late in the day?
