Spiritual Dysphoria

The campaign group Binary shared some data from the USA regarding diagnoses of youths with gender dysphoria. The figures show a surge which would seems hard to explain if one considers it to be a purely biological condition. If, however, we perceive that there is an ideology being promoted and, with transactivists going into schools and colleges to suggest to young minds that they are in the wrong body and that biological sex is not real- then we may satisfactorily account for these worryingly high numbers. Males and females are being encouraged to subject their bodies to powerful drugs and the surgeon’s scalpel in order to become who they want to be - or who they are told they ought to be.

I sometimes wondered why the book of Genesis is so emphatic in its teaching that God made two sexes:

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27

He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. Genesis 5:2

I always thought it was prophetically addressed to coming times when women’s humanity would be questioned and challenged. I also considered it might be to remind us that we are creatures made by a Creator rather than a blind, random power, which we were led to believe from 150 years ago. To these we may also add the Holy Spirit’s foreknowledge that the day would come when even masculinity and femininity would be debated and rejected.  

The more the human race spirals into the depths of spiritual depravity, the more solid and reliable is God's word proven to be.
