Kirk of Mochrum

The Kirk of Mochrum in Wigtownshire, Scotland, is a peculiar old church. A complicated structure, it had six or seven different entrances, all set at different angles and locations around the building. I say six or seven because I counted several times and came up with both answers. In terms of fire escapes, this might be good design; in terms of keeping it warm, less so.

Getting into church is more complicated than getting into heaven. There are many different denominations, each, perhaps, with their own entrance requirements and expectations. Heaven, however, has one entrance, one Door, who is Christ Jesus. No other gatekeeper or porter can procure admission, no other entrance is there found except Christ and Him crucified.

“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Acts 4:12, New King James Version
