Another advert for a course has appeared on my social media feed. I suspect they keep appearing because I cannot resist clicking on them, even though I generally despise what I see. This time, it is for ‘Christian coaching’. I do not know what Christian coaching is, nor how it differs from pastoring. Is this designed for people who really, deep down, want to be pastors but because of their sex, intelligence or reputations, cannot use that word, and substitute it for ‘coach’ instead? My own theory is that the words below were written by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and that they have neatly been adapted from the secular world to the religious world. In North America in particular, Christianity is big business and that means there is money to be made.
