New Sign Posts around Middop and Rimington

Salem is not easy to find. One reason for this is its being situated at the meeting of three different lanes. The Parish Council and others have arranged for these lanes to be properly signed. So opposite the chapel we have Martin Top Lane- connecting the chapel to the farm at which the church began. Heading towards Rimington we have Newby Lane, and heading east, Long Lover Lane. How this name came about, I can only imagine.
