Professing Christ

Mooching around Leck's St Peter's Church in North Lancashire, I came across two university professors buried in its hallowed ground. This seemed unusual for so remote a cemetery. Two separate men, each an expert in his field of academic interest, each called to eternity. I cannot vouch for the quality of their research nor the lives they lived. The only thing that matters, they only thing they are glad they knew or regretted not knowing- was the Son of God. The collective knowledge of humanity is impressive and continuing to grow, but knowing the Son and professing Him as Lord and Saviour is the difference between a good death and a bad death.

For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 1 Corinthians 2.
