Who will Bridge the Gap?

Ezekiel 22: 29 The people of the land have used oppressions, committed robbery, and mistreated the poor and needy; and they wrongfully oppress the stranger. 30 So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. 31 Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord God.

The Lord tells Ezekiel that Israel is wicked, especially in their conduct towards each other and the vulnerable. V29

God searches for just one righteous man, who might mediate between Him and this people; one who would build a wall against sin; one who would bridge the gap between sinner and Judge. V30

God's untempered wrath is poured out on these people for such a one cannot be found. V31.

Who's your mediator? Who will bridge the gap between you and God? Who will divert God's wrath from you?

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5
