Bilton School and the Union Flag
Bilton School in Rugby, Warwickshire, recently held a ‘Culture Celebration Day’ for which pupils attended in various outfits rather than the usual uniform. It was fine to go in an Islamic burqa but not, apparently, in a Union Flag dress. The teenaged girl who offered such offence to the teaching staff was removed from lessons and placed in isolation, such was the seriousness of her crime. That’s right, in 2020s' Britain, celebrating British culture and tradition is offensive to the kind of people who run our schools. The girl’s father went to the press, and forced the school’s leadership to backtrack and apologise, the text of which began:
At Bilton School, we are proud of the diversity of our students and the rich heritage they bring to our community. We are committed to fostering an environment where every pupil feels respected, valued, and included.
This is clearly nonsense; were it true, the incident would never have happened and no apology would have needed to be offered. I looked at the school's website. Various equality-style clichés littered every page, which last week’s incident exposed as untruths:
At Bilton School we are respectful towards everyone -unless you are 'White British'.
At Bilton School we treat everyone with kindness- unless you are 'White British'.
At Bilton school we are a community -ideally excluding people who are 'White British'.
This incident, which is grossly unfortunate and for which the school’s apology must be noted, is not a one-off. This attack on the traditional British way of life which we see across the board is part of the de-Christianisation of our land. Tradition, morality, Christianity, the sanctity of life, law and order: all these must be sacrificed on the altar of the great equality cult and the new, official ideology. Had someone attended Bilton School’s 'Culture Celebration Day’ (which sounds like something from Mao’s China) in a Pride-themed rainbow dress (denying male and female) or a black, Islamic body covering (denying Jesus Christ), no eye would have batted. To wear a Union Flag -exclusion and punishment.
Pray for our land.
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Psalm 37:7
