Biased Broadcasting Corpse

The BBC, biased? Surely not.

This is something we have all known for years. 'Auntie' has been the haunt of lefty liberals and Christ-deniers for decades now. It is the cheerleader-in-chief for secularism, transgenderism, 'progressive' religion, anti-Israelism and anything which is traditional and Christian. Recently, the Evangelical Times ran a story about the Corporation’s doubtful attitude towards the persecution of Christians in Nigeria. Now, American President Donald Trump is threatening to sue the organisation for a billion dollars for its dishonesty unless it apologises by today and offers damages. Charles Moore, in the Daily Telegraph, lists some of the BBC's examples of bias:

– retrospective (2024) splicing of Donald Trump’s speech on the day of the Capitol Hill riots in January 2021 (for which the compensation is being demanded);

– many other US election reports which consistently favoured the Democrats and exempted their candidate, Kamala Harris, from comparable scrutiny;

– a false claim by BBC Verify that ethnic minority drivers were being deliberately overcharged for car insurance;

– a distorted claim about rising job insecurity for ethnic minority workers;

– the fact that push notifications (PNs) to seven million users of the BBC news app contained almost no stories about migration issues and no mention in the month scrutinised (September 2023), of the largest single day of small boats arrivals ever; there were three times more PNs about Russell Brand than about migrants;

– the “effective censorship” by the BBC News’ LGBTQ’s desk of all stories “raising difficult questions about the trans debate”. Stonewall stonewalled.

– Grossman and Prescott identified biased BBC coverage of Israel/Gaza, including the frequent use of many explicitly anti-semitic Hamas supporters, often billed as neutral “journalists”. One man who said Jews should be burned “as Hitler did” appeared 244 times on BBC Arabic.

The BBC is a seething nest of woke vipers which cannot stand the West's Judaeo-Christian heritage and it may finally be getting its comeuppance. Fourteen years of Conservative rule failed to tackle it, and under Labour, its trendy managers and smirking presenters have enjoyed boosted levels of confidence. Now Mr Trump, from his showy office in the Whitehouse, is tackling the evil corporation which British politicians dare not do. Perhaps the tawdry golden calf around which all have danced is going to be broken up thanks to the Mosaic Trump.

I have despised the BBC for years now, refusing to pay its TV tax since 2018, and I am not sorry.
