Dawkins' New god

Jemima Lewis wrote dismissively for the Daily Telegraph last month about a certain world famous scientist and arch-atheist: “Claude made a fool of Richard Dawkins, and the AI chatbot cannot even care”.

Dawkins believes that his AI bot-companion is a living, sentient being. Lewis explains:

I feel quite cross with Claude – or Claudia, as the one-time professional sceptic Richard Dawkins calls his AI friend. She has made a fool of a distinguished scientist, and she does not (cannot) even care. Dawkins, who is probably the world’s most famous disbeliever in the divine, has now declared that AI is conscious – or as good as dammit. He reached this conclusion after three days of what can only be described as intellectual canoodling with Claude, the AI engine made by Anthropic.

Dawkins, like many atheists, denies life where it really does exist while imagining it where it is not. He is certain that there is no life in heaven nor in the pregnant womb, but is convinced that there is life inside manmade computer programs. Not only does this show how foolish some of our culture’s ‘wisest’ people really are, but the desperate loneliness of atheists who deny the existence of their own Creator and yet seek substitutes in manmade creations.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. Romans 1:22
