Strathaven Fellowship

Strathaven Evangelical Fellowship (South Lanarkshire) meets in premises which began as a Brethren meeting hall which was built about 1876. In 1989 it was rebranded and the Lord's people continue to gather there.

There was a fashion in the 1970s and 1980s to call churches ‘Fellowships’. Trends in Church Names I have considered previously, for they well bespeak the times in which they were founded. Nevertheless, a church is not just a preaching house (17th century) or concert venue (21st century) but a place where members of the same spiritual community, family and society share themselves one with another. This is fellowship, and may our church be a fellowship in deed if not in name.

And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. Acts 2:42
