Turning Away
The local tanning parlour, an establishment I am not known to frequent, has stuck on its large glass window a sign:
WE DO NOT DISCRIMINATE
RACE, GENDER,
AGE, DISABILITY,
VACCINATED OR
UNVACCINATED
EVERYONE EQUAL HERE
EVERYONE WELCOME
Of course, it all makes good business sense. If you determine that one gender or race is unwelcome to spend money in your shop, you only harm your own margins, as well as your reputation. The equality industry usually loves this kind of poster. At least it would until it distinguishes between ‘vaxed’ and ‘unvaxed’. Liberals, who have been justifying abortion for years by demanding a woman has the right to do anything she wants to her own body, are now demanding that all receive vaccinations in their arms. For the record, I offer no advice or opinion on whether people should receive the vaccination. I myself have had them, but I have no interest on others’ medical predilections. Yet talk of ‘vaccine passports’, once the preserve of cranks and conspiracy theorists, is now reality in parts of our United Kingdom. Might the churches one day insist that worshippers show proof of receiving these injections before being granted entry? Durham Cathedral required vaccine passports for its Christmas services last week. There was certaily no room at the inn for the unvaccinated. We must of course resist this. The public worship of almighty God must always be available to all, and freely, regardless of qualification. Sadly, many of the churches I know would have fewer scruples about enforcing such measures than my local tanning parlour.
