Ribwort Plantain

This is plantago lanceolata, or ribwort plantain, which is a common sight in Britain. It grows best where the ground has been disturbed. It is often found near paths and roads in rougher ground in which other, daintier plants would not survive.

Too often, the Lord allows our neat lives and ordered routines to suffer disruption and angst, for it is then that we turn to Him and grow in our faith.
