Hello, what’s this? It’s an email in my junk box:

I am a spyware software developer. Your account has been hacked by me in the summer of 2019.
 
I went around the security system in the router, installed an exploit there.
When you went online, my exploit downloaded my malicious code (rootkit) to your device.
This is driver software, I constantly updated it, so your antivirus is silent all time.
 
Since then I have been following you (I can connect to your device via the VNC protocol).
That is, I can see absolutely everything that you do, view and download your files and any data to yourself.
I also have access to the camera on your device, and I periodically take photos and videos with you.

I’m pleased to say I do not access Adult websites. This chancer has sent a blanket email to all the addresses he can, in the hope that one worried fool hands over the requested money. Blackmail is a horrible thing; it puts one in the power of the greedy and unscrupulous. Yet it’s a strange word. It comes from male "rent, tribute," from Old English mal meaning "lawsuit”, with black referring to its wicked intention. 
 
Satan’s role in the Bible is not unlike that of a prosecutor-cum-blackmailer. Dredging up our past and reminding us of our failings and unworthiness of Christ’s affection, he seeks to hamper and retard our usefulness. Luther once said:
 
“So when the devil throws your sins in your face and declares that you deserve death and hell, tell him this: "I admit that I deserve death and hell, what of it? For I know One who suffered and made satisfaction on my behalf. His name is Jesus Christ, Son of God, and where He is there I shall be also!”
 
Still, our blackmailer offers sound advice:
