Buried Low Congregational Church

Whilst in Cheltenham I made a point of walking past Highbury Congregational Church. Having rather more imposing premises than Salem Chapel, it occupies a great site among housing and enjoys the benefits of a good car park. It even has two Sunday services which is unusual for our day. Its website showed a believer's baptism and all seemed to be well. I noticed, however, that it has compromised on the definition of marriage. I feel this is now an increasingly essential measure of orthodoxy. Whatever a church or pastor teaches on baptism or faith be sound, but if they effectively sell out on sexual ethics, departing from 2000 years of Christian interpretation and the plain meaning of scripture: with such we would struggle to share fellowship.
