Honeyberries

Don’t these berries look juicy and tasty? Are they the delightfully named ‘honeyberries’, the fruit of the sweet-smelling Lonicera caerulea honeysuckle? If so, we may eat them with pleasure.

If they come from other types of honeysuckle, however, they are toxic to humans. Even a small quantity, explains the CanYouEat.co.uk website, “can cause gastrointestinal distress, including nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea”. So, who will be the first to try the ones growing at the chapel, above, to see if they will do us good or ill? No-one, I trust.

Eating unidentified berries and fruits is a dangerous game, for not all that is red and juicy will do us good and may even do us severe harm, but I guess you already know that. So why, then, do so many Christians watch online videos from questionable and dubious sources? Satan may not steal your soul, but he will certainly try to corrupt your theology, compromise your diet and stifle your growth.
