Japanese Fatsia

This Japanese fatsia with its large, prominent leaves I found growing in the grounds of the parish church at London’s Rotherhithe. It had produced hundreds or thousands of little berries. When we sometimes think of bearing fruit, we imagine large, juicy pears and scrumptious, plump apples. Yet much of the fruit which the believer bears to God is often small, beneath common notice: a hundred tiny acts of service, soon forgotten, easily missed, often ignored.

But not by Him to whom they are given.

But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good. 2 Thessalonians 3:13

“The hands of Zerubbabel
Have laid the foundation of this temple;
His hands shall also finish it.
Then you will know
That the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you.
For who has despised the day of small things?
