Post Panic

Some of us are old enough to remember this panic. Paul tells the Thessalonians in 1:5:3, speaking of Christ’s return:
 
For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labour pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

This doesn’t necessarily mean when there is peace and safety on the earth at that time, but when it is offered, spoken of, publicly desired. Beware of promises of safety and calm after sone major disturbance, for the conclusion of history as we know it may follow soon after. Maranatha!
