Tarazed

Gamma Aquilae is a star in the constellation of Aquila traditionally called Tarazed. Sometimes known as Humerus Vulturis, which means 'the eagle's shoulder', it is part of the eagle in those rather fanciful dot-to-dots which the ancients used to create starry shapes. Eagles play a part in classical mythology, being associated with Zeus or Jupiter. In the Hebrew scriptures, however, they are pictures of strength and agility, and used by God Himself:

Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself. Exodus 19:4

Not only does the Lord use His great strength to save His people, but also to empower them:

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

The eagle has great strength, but the God who saves and empowers is brighter than Tarazed and incalculably more powerful. Your times are in His hand.
