St Anne's Church, Thwaites

St Anne's Church at Thwaites in Cumbria was all closed up when we called; despite its location by a busy road and a junction, the security risks must have been deemed too high to those charged with its administration. Still, we got to enjoy the delights of its little sundial which, unusually for that county, was in fine working order on account of the weather. A dull day would have rendered it useless.

Should a 'Christian’ or a church remove themselves from the light of God’s word, the Bible, they shall never share the radiance of His glory. Our dark world hates the light, but by it we Christians live and move. If you are not living in His light, you are dying in the darkness.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12
