Blackpool's Grey Chapel

This dreary little chapel is home to Blackpool’s Seventh Day Adventist community. Their preoccupations with the sabbath may be justifiable and their avoidance of meat and booze understandable, but their dependence upon the prophetic powers of Ellen Gould White and her 2,000 visions and dreams mires a zealous movement. Looking to White turns any chapel grey; give me the clear purity of God’s good word, and let the self-appointed prophets and prophetesses babble to the wind.
