Cultural Christianity & the Message of the Cross

I am part of a group of evangelical ministers who requested this topic be addressed some time ago.

When hundreds of black-clad, white-skinned young men chant "Christ is King!" at Dover in the face of uncontrolled migration, we Christians may consider this as a wonderful stirring of revival. Or is it simply a resurgence of traditional culture in the face of globalisation rather and not a believing and porclaiming of the glorious gospel? Do they regard the Cross of Jesus Christ as a symbol of former, better times, or do they understand it as God's great instrument for the substitutionary atonement for people of every tribe and race?
