Bible Week & Bible Weak

It was a pleasure to conclude our annual Bible Week on Friday night. John Mollitt, above, was our main speaker while Professor Steve Taylor of Liverpool, below, gave two creation talks on the Wednesday. Two missionaries to an Islamic nation offered information and updates, though for security reasons, no recording was made or pictures taken. John’s talks were particularly encouraging: although Great Britan has moved away from its Christian heritage (“from Jerusalem to Athens”), God’s throne, word and kingdom remain as solid and unshakeable as ever.
It was a blessing to be joined by people who attended other churches. Although folk from some of the usual congregations weren’t able to come, it was a pleasure to share fellowship with people from:
St Leonard’s, Padiham
St Thomas’, Barrowford
Bethel Chapel, Clapham
Vanguard Church, Burnley
Sabden Baptist Church
Higherford Methodist Church
Nelson Independent Methodist
Free Presbyterian Church
I fear that, as John pointed out on the Thursday evening, Amos’ “famine of God’s word” is very much ravaging Great Britain. May God keep us, and may He continue feeding all who will come to His table on the finest of wheat,
You can listen to 9/10 of the talks here.

He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee. Psalm 81:16
